West View Project
West View Project is an adventure activity provider based in Hartlepool, offering a varied and broad range of fun activities. From water-based activities such as sailing, canoeing and kayaking to outdoor ventures including rock climbing, orienteering and mountain biking, there’s something to fuel your adventurous mind.
Whether you want an activity for a birthday party, a treat for a group that have done well, an introductory getting to know you session, staff team building, or a long term personal development project, activities can be tailored to your exact needs.
Training is also available to people who want a short taste of adventure, all the way to those who are hoping to follow a brand new career path, or perhaps make better use of their free time and become very active community volunteers. Some of the training on offer includes: RYA 1st Aid at sea, RYA sailing and powerboat courses, Canoe England (BCU) Level 1, Level 3 Expedition Leadership and OCN Forest School training (At Levels 1 to 3).
Health and Safety is always paramount, as is the quality of the experience you receive. West View Project is an AALS licensed outdoor centre and also hold a Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge and the Adventuremark award.
Activities can be delivered at a variety of sites, though water sporting activities are best delivered at the Hartlepool Marina site. This provides the ideal base for most groups to discover a new activity and is an exceptional venue for training courses with the provision of classroom and changing facilities along with easy access and a good selection of shops and restaurants on its doorstep.
