- Take your plastic container and fill it with soil leaving a 3cm gap at the top. Cut off and use the ruler at the bottom of this page to measure.
- With your finger make a hole in the centre of this soil that is about 3cm deep.
- Put your sunflower seed into the hole and cover it with soil.
- Gently press down on the soil making sure not to squash the seed.
- Water the soil and place on a windowsill that gets lots of sunlight.
If you have a larger container and are planting more than one seed at once make sure that the holes are more than 15cm apart.
