Today marks the start of Holidays at the Headland. Make sure you are following @explorehartlepool on Facebook and Instagram for information on what we have planned this week. 

Our FREE activity packs are also now available to collect from the Headland Library and Heugh Battery Museum.

Wednesday 8th April – Horrid Headland History Walk

Time: 10am

Meeting Location: TBA

Join Explore Hartlepool and Tees Archaeology for a family friendly walk around the Headland learning about the amazing history of the original Hartlepool as you go.This walk is pram and little leg friendly. Make sure to wear suitable footwear and clothing for the weather.

Thursday 9th April – Hartlepool Sport Activity Day

Time: 11am

Location: Town Moor Playground

Hartlepool Sport will be bringing with them games, sports and play activities. There will be walks for all abilities and even a Mini Trail for even the youngest participants. Explore Hartlepool will also be down there handing out free activity packs and competition goodies!

The packs are available all week FREE to collect from the Headland Library and the Heugh Battery Museum. 

Explore Hartlepool will also be handing out packs at the Explore Hartlepoool activity days. There are activites that can be done outside and inside as well as some colouring pencils that can be used to completer the puzzles and colouring sheets.

Can you tick all of the landmarks off the list?

Get your exploring shoes on we’re off on a hunt! There are 10 different famous Hartlepool landmarks you need to find and tick off the list. Can you find them all?

Get green fingered and grow your own sunflower!

In the activity pack you will find a packet of sunflower seeds. All you need is a plastic cup, some compost and some water. How tall can yours grow?
