Seaton Carew Beach

Seaton Carew Beach is an absolute must for anyone visiting Hartlepool!

Located within the small seaside resort of Seaton Carew, this stunning golden beach stretches over one mile in each direction from its resort centre. This traditional seaside backdrop offers everything you would expect – a sandy beach, arcades, ice cream parlours’ and plenty of fish and chip shops.

It’s a perfect spot for families – there’s plenty of space to enjoy beach games and building sandcastles as well as the potential for peace and solitude to those who are seeking a more gentle respite.

Cyclists can also enjoy the promenade, which affords easy access northwards to the Marina development. The southern area of the beach leads to protected dunes, which are adjoined by Seaton Carew Golf Club, one of the first 50 courses built in the world. Continuing south, nature lovers can journey onto Seal Sands, home to common and grey seals and hundreds of species of migratory birds.

Rain or shine Seaton Carew is well worth a visit, even on a wintry day fish and chips sat in the car watching the raging North Sea is a pleasure to behold.
