Two women cycling on a bike, side by side.

Free ladies-only cycling sessions are to be held at Summerhill
Country Park throughout October as part of the Big Bike Revival, a UK-wide
initiative to encourage adults to take up cycling for the first time or to
begin riding again.

The learn to ride sessions are aimed at women of all ages, and
friendly, supportive instructors from locally-based Manilla Cycling and
national cycling charity Sustrans will be on hand to offer help and advice.

The sessions will take place on the safe, traffic-free environment
provided by Summerhill’s purpose-built cycle track, and they are a chance to
build your confidence week by week.

They are being held at the following times:

Saturdays: 11th ,  18th  and 25th October, 11am-12pm.

Tuesdays: 14th October, 10am, 12pm and 1pm; 21st October, 10am and 1pm; 28th October, 10am and 1pm.

Advance booking is required, so please call (01429) 284584 or email participation@hartlepool.gov.uk to reserve your place.

Everyone taking part will receive a voucher for Daisy and Beas cafe in Summerhill Visitor Centre.
